Blender Animation

Course Details:

An introductory set of animation classes that taught how to build Blender animations.

3D Animation 1:

  • Learned basic Blender skills such as maneuvering around the set, adding assets, and moving objects
  • Animated objects, camera, and character (Nobby) with various types of keyframes
  • Animated multiple cameras with yaw, pitch, roll, scroll, and jitter, and switched between them to enhance action and storyline
  • Included realistic movement, bounces, flips, slips, and facial reactions
  • Added music, transitions, and different scenes
  • Rendered animation, paying attention to quality, FPS, and other factors

3D Character Animation 1:

  • Reskinned Minecraft-like character before including model
  • Created multiple scenes and customized backgrounds
  • Scripted animation sequences to include walking, running, and blinking
  • Simulated semi-realistic facial expression and custom body movement through use of multiple keyframes
  • Created realistic animation of skeleton holding and then throwing fire charges, manually keeping charge aligned with skeleton's hand with respect to position and rotation
  • Added sheep, exploding TNT, and plot twist from original course
